Automatically stored information
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files which your browser transmits to us automatically. This information consists of:
- The date and time of your request
- The name of the file requested
- The website that requested the file
- The access status (file transmitted, file not found, etc.)
- The web browser and operating system used
- The full IP address of the computer that is sending the request
- The transmitted data volume
This data will not be combined with information from other data sources. We process this data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) on the basis of our lawful interest in the improvement of the stability and functionality of our website.
For technology security reasons, particularly in order to defend our web server against any attempted attacks, we will store this data for a short while. We cannot identify individual people on the basis of this information. After seven days at the latest, this data will be anonymised by shortening the IP address at the domain level; it is then no longer possible to trace it back to an individual user. The data will also be processed for statistical purposes in anonymised form; it will not be compared with other data sets or shared with third parties either fully or in part.
Google Tag Manager
This website uses Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager does not collect any personally identifiable information. This tool triggers other tags that may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If tracking has been blocked at the domain or cookie level, this will also apply to all tracking tags that are implemented with the Google Tag Manager. See here for Google's privacy policy regarding this tool: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/.
Google Analytics with anonymisation function
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service by the company Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google", on our website. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and allow the analysis of your usage of this website.
The information generated by these cookies, for example the time of your website visit, your location and how often you visit our website, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.
On our website, we use Google Analytics with the additional feature "_gat._anonymizeIp". This means that Google will already shorten your IP address in order to anonymise it within the Member States of the European Union or other countries that have signed the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on the website activities on our behalf, and to perform further services linked to our use of the website and the internet. Google may also share this information with third parties if this is legally required or in as far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
According to Google, Google will never associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies with a respective setting in your browser software; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all of our website's features to their full extent.
Google also offers opt-out add-ons for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over the data Google collects about the websites you have accessed. These add-ons communicate to the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) that you do not want Google Analytics to collect information about your website visit. However, the opt-out add-on for browsers provided by Google Analytics does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services we may use. You can find more information about how to install this browser add-on by clicking on this link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
When you visit our website on a mobile end device (smartphone or tablet PC), you have to click on this link instead to prevent Google Analytics from tracking your activities on this website in future. You can also do this as an alternative to installing the above browser add-on. Clicking on the link will set an opt-out cookie in your browser that is only valid for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will also delete the opt-out cookies, which means that you have to click on the link again.
If you have consented to Google associating your web and app browser history with your Google account and information from your Google account is used to personalise advertisements, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data in order to generate target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google Analytics will initially collect your Google authenticated ID that is linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data) on our website. Google Analytics will then link your ID temporarily to your Google Analytics data in order to optimise our targets groups.
If you object to this, you can prevent this with respective settings in the "My account" section of your Google account.
Google DoubleClick
DoubleClick by Google is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). DoubleClick by Google uses cookies to show you advertisements that are relevant to you. A pseudonymised identifier (ID) is allocated to your browser to check which advertisements were shown in your browser and which advertisements were accessed. These cookies do not contain personal data. Using DoubleClick cookies merely allows Google and its partner websites to show you advertisements on the basis of your previous visits to our website or other websites you have visited on the internet. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted to a Google server in the USA for evaluation purposes and stored there. Google complies with the "EU-US Privacy Shield" agreement and is a registered member of the US Department of Commerce's "Privacy Shield" programme. Google will only transmit this data to third parties if legally required to do so or within the scope of order data processing. Google will never associate your data with other data collected by Google.
By using our website, you consent to Google's processing of the previously collected information associated with you and the aforementioned manner of its processing as well as the aforementioned purpose. You can prevent the storage of cookies with a respective setting in your browser software; however, please note that you may then not be able to use all of the features of our website to their full extent. You can further prevent Google's collection of the data regarding your use of the websites generated by the cookies and its transmission to Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under "DoubleClick opt-out extension". To do so, please click on the following link. Alternatively, you can also block DoubleClick cookies with this opt-out.
YouTube in enhanced data protection mode
We use the provider YouTube for video embedding. The videos have been embedded in extended data protection mode. However, like most websites, YouTube also uses cookies to collect information about the people who visit its website. YouTube uses cookies to collect video statistics, to prevent fraud and to improve its user-friendliness, for example. This also leads to the establishment of a connection with the Google DoubleClick network. When you click on the video, this could trigger further data processing processes. We have no influence on this process. Please refer to YouTube's privacy policy for more information about these processes: www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube.

Facebook Pixel
We use the Facebook Pixel as part of the technologies of Facebook Ireland Ltd [https://de-de.facebook.com/facebookdublin/]., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook") set out below. The Facebook Pixel automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information as well as information about your use of our website based on events specified by us, such as visiting a website or subscribing to a newsletter), from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms. For this purpose, a cookie is automatically set by the Facebook Pixel when you visit our website, which automatically enables recognition of your browser when visiting other websites by means of a pseudonymous CookieID. Facebook will combine this information with other data from your Facebook account and use it to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website use, in particular personalised and group-based advertising. We have no influence on the data processing by Facebook and only receive statistics compiled on the basis of Facebook Pixel.
The information automatically collected by Facebook technologies about your use of our website is generally transmitted to a server of Facebook, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA and stored there. The data processing takes place on the basis of an agreement between jointly responsible parties in accordance with Art. 26 DSGVO. LinkedIn (Insight-Tag)
Furthermore, we use the so-called conversion tracking with LinkedIn Insights Tag, a tool of LinkedIn Ireland, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, on our website. For this purpose, the LinkedIn Insight Tag is integrated on our pages and a cookie is set on your end device by LinkedIn. This informs LinkedIn that you have visited our website and your IP address is also collected. Timestamps and events such as page views are also stored. This enables us to statistically evaluate the use of our website in order to constantly optimise it. For example, we find out which LinkedIn ad or interaction on LinkedIn you used to access our website. This allows us to better control the display of our advertising.
Further information on conversion tracking can be found at www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/67595/linkedin-conversion-trackingubersicht. Please note that the data may be stored and processed by LinkedIn so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and LinkedIn may use the data for its own advertising purposes. You can find more information on this in LinkedIn's privacy policy at www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. You can prevent the analysis of your usage behaviour by LinkedIn and the display of interest-based recommendations via
https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.Pinterest Conversion Tracking
Our website uses the conversion tracking technology of the social network Pinterest (Pinterest Europe Ltd., Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland), which enables us to display relevant advertisements and offers on Pinterest to our website visitors who have already taken an interest in our website and our content/offers and are Pinterest members. For this purpose, a so-called conversion tracking pixel from Pinterest is integrated on our pages, via which Pinterest is informed when you visit our website that you have called up our website and in which parts of our offer you were interested. For example, if you were interested in our subscriptions on our website, you may be shown an ad on Pinterest about our subscriptions.
You can object to the collection of data for the display of interest-based advertising on Pinterest at any time in your account settings on Pinterest at www.pinterest.de/settings (there, under "Individual customisation", deactivate the button "Use info from our partners to better tailor recommendations and ads on Pinterest to you") or at help.pinterest.com/de/article/personalization-and-data (there, deactivate the checkbox under "Disable individual customisation").
Newsletter via rapidmail
We use a so-called double opt-out process for subscriptions to our newsletter, i.e. you will only receive our newsletter via email after you have explicitly confirmed that you would like to use our newsletter service. We will then send you a confirmation email and ask you to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter by clicking on the link shown in the email. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we will store your IP address and the subscription date. This data is stored for the sole purpose of being able to provide proof in the event of a third party wrongfully using your email address to subscribe to the newsletter without your knowledge or authority. Should you no longer wish to receive our newsletters at a later stage, you can unsubscribe at any time without incurring any costs other than the basic rate of transmission costs. Every newsletter also contains an unsubscribe link for this purpose.
