From tradition to innovation: the new management of the Mest marzipan city outlet in Lübeck
The high demand for its products made it necessary for Mest-Marzipan-GmbH to expand its city shop in Lübeck and move to a larger space.
An exciting task - on the one hand the development of a new external image, on the other the need to adapt the historic building (parts of which date back to the 14th century) to today's requirements in terms of technology and building regulations.
Inviting atmosphere in the marzipan store
The highlight of the space is the abstract, almost four-metre-high almond tree, which dominates the room and symbolizes the main ingredient of marzipan.
The store's color concept is inspired by the delicate, rose-colored shades of the almond blossom. The soft tones create a warm and inviting atmosphere that invites customers to immerse themselves in the world of marzipan.
Traditional marzipan in a modern ambience
Historical elements in the form of brick walls as well as photos and quotations tell the story of the Mest family and their long tradition of producing high-quality marzipan. The sales area is clearly structured, with functional shelving elements offering customization and conversion options. Contrasting materials such as oak, tile, brick and metal provide the necessary excitement.
