High stability, robustness and ease of processing, coupled with a particularly sustainable wood mix and formaldehyde-free gluing. "Our PremiumBoard MFP Living P5 combines all the sought-after structural, technical and ecological advantages," emphasises Claus Seemann, Product Manager Beam Materials at Pfleiderer Deutschland GmbH. "We now offer timber frame construction a material that can withstand all the necessary stresses, has excellent processing qualities and makes a valuable contribution to optimum indoor air quality."
PremiumBoard MFP P5 has always been characterised by high bending and transverse tensile strength in longitudinal and transverse directions as well as high moisture resistance - it also impresses with the possibility of non-directional cutting and the corresponding usability. This makes chipboard ideal for a wide range of structural tasks.
Pfleiderer is now responding to the increased requirements for climate protection and healthy living - not least as a result of the building turnaround - with the further development of the "construction classic" and is presenting the wood frame material PremiumBoard MFP Living P5. "This consists of up to 50 percent secondary raw materials in the form of recycled wood chips and is thus the first product for timber construction with such a high recycling rate. In addition, MFP Living P5 is glued without formaldehyde and thus meets the requirements for low emissions from the product - which in turn ensures particularly good indoor air quality in the future." explains Claus Seemann. "So anyone who wants to build with timber frame construction in a way that conserves resources and is healthy for the home can do so with this product. Cascade and circular economy are thus lived."
Wood is a natural product, and wood-based materials should be in no way be classed as inferior. In order to live up to this claim, Pfleiderer uses a targeted wood mix for MFP Living P5, the selection and composition of which takes into account both product use and subsequent uses. In order to maintain these extraordinarily high quality criteria, which are based on natural wood, Pfleiderer purchases the secondary raw material recycled wood continuously and exclusively from certified specialist companies. "In addition, we go to great lengths with our own cleaning and sorting out of foreign materials, for which we already invested over 10 million euros a few years ago.
Likewise, our own central analytics contribute to avoiding a potential concentration of undesirable pollutants in the wood-based panels," explains Claus Seemann. "The wood composition of Pfleiderer products is 100 percent sustainable. It makes an active contribution to CO2 reduction through a wood mix without active felling, for products that are healthy for the home and free of pollution. In addition, the wood mix from exclusively unpolluted assortments ensures optimal material recyclability after product use."
