The page is available in all markets and languages.
All pages show the content edited in the [all markets] language versions.
Editorial content: In all [all markets] languages
Visibility: In all Languages
For this example "all" languages refers to english and polish only. For the full example the page has to be filled in all [all market] language versions.
This is an edge case to show the language fallback ability of TYPO3. The page is only entered in the [all markets] english variant of the page and is shown in the english versions of all markets.
Editorial content: In [all markets] english only
Visibility: In all markets for english language
This is another edge case to show the language fallback ability of TYPO3. The page is only entered in the [all markets] polish variant of the page and is shown in the polish versions of all markets.
Additionally the option "Hide default translation of page" is enabled for the page so that the [all markets] english variant (which has to be created for the page tree) is not shown.
In contrast to the english variant there currently only is one market using the polish language, so you could say, that the [all markets] polish content is for the polish market – this is NOT true. However all content in polish that is not specifically about polish products should be entered in the [all markets] polish language for potential future extensions of the market/language system (e.g. polish version for lithuania).
The example probably makes more sense if you think about french or italian languages which are available in mutliple markets.
Editorial content: Only in [all markets] polish
Visibility: In all markets for polish language
This is another edge case showing the "Hide page if no translation for current language exists" of TYPO3.
If this option is enabled all fallbacks (e.g. from Poland-English to All markets-English) are disabled and TYPO3 only renders pages which are explicitly set up.
i.e. content entered in one of the [all markets] languages is not shown anywhere.
Editorial content: In all market/language combinations where it should be shown
Visibility: In all market/language combinations where content was explicitly entered
Same use case as Case 4 but as an example for multiple languages and one market.
This is the last common use case where the page is generally available in all markets and languages but for one market/language the page should contain something different.
Editorial content: In all [all markets] languages and some market specific languages
Visibility: In all Languages
For most content pages only Case 1, Case 5 and Case 6 should be used.
Via the info-tab in the left side bar you can check pages for their translation status.
An empty cell for a [all market] languages mean that the page is not translated in that language and thus not displayed.
An empty cell for a market specific language only means that there is no variant for that specific market and that the content form the [all market] variant of the same language is displayed.
You can call this page in three language variants and only see the corresponding pages below.
