Duropal fits ESPRIT flagship stores with HPL decor “Illusion”
Neumarkt/Arnsberg, February 22, 2010 – Duropal, a subsidiary of MDAX-listed Pfleiderer AG (ISIN DE0006764749), delivers surface „Illusion“ to ESPRIT. The HPL design with a delicate sheen and a fascinating 3D effect defines the look of a new generation of ESPRIT flagship stores. The first one opened in Hong Kong (China) in October. A second one is currently under construction in Sydney (Australia). Others are planned in Europe.
The new shop construction concept has been created by Esprit’s Architecture Department together with the Düsseldorf architectural offices Schwitzke und Partner. To achieve this, well known design icons of the popular lifestyle brand were reproduced in new interpretations. Combined with warm, natural materials, a high level of flexibility and the latest energy requirements, ESPRIT is realizing highly innovative and sustainable flagship stores.

The flexible, uncomplicated and close co-operation with Pfleiderer’s subsidiaries Duropal and wodego, and the range and variety of products, have inspired ESPRIT, particularly the latest innovative and untypical surface structures, above all, ‘Illusion’, with gentle waves that create the illusion of a depth of several centimeters – on a completely smooth surface. Visitors to Peking Road in Hong Kong are already being enthralled by it, and those in Sydney are to follow shortly.
